Radio City “Mission Christmas” – Pioneer House is a registered Drop Off Point

With one in three young people classed as living in poverty in the local area, we here at Pioneer House are wanting to help them over Christmas.  We have therefore registered Pioneer House Business Centre as an official drop off point for Radio City’s Mission Christmas for the third year running.

radiocityRadio City’s “Mission Christmas” is a campaign asking people to buy an extra present in the lead up to Christmas and to drop it off at Pioneer House (or one of the other registered drop off points).

Radio City will then collect all of the donated presents and give them to a disadvantaged local child to make their Christmas morning special.

The campaign is looking for new and unwrapped gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0-18 years. There are drop off points across the region, including us here at Pioneer House.

Last year’s campaign meant that 26 000 local children woke up to a present who without Mission Christmas would have gone without anything.  This year we are aiming to help even more children and that’s why we need your help!

Do you get the business rates relief that you are entitled to?

At Pioneer House we believe that you should benefit from any rates relief that is due to you.

As a result we have had all of our offices assessed by the valuation office on an “Individual” basis with all suites and units being given their own rateable value. Despite the additional administrative work and marginally higher rateable values we believe it is important that you (the occupier) are able to get the benefit that is due to you.

Some business centre operators have their buildings rated using a single assessment.  In this situation, organisations/customers taking space are unable to benefit from any Government based incentives such as small business rates relief or charity rates relief.

If you are looking for office space, we suggest that you familiarise yourself with the Government’s rating rules (Click here for more information) and ask the right questions of the organisation managing the property that you are interested in to ensure you receive the relief that is due to you.

At the end of May 2015, Pioneer Business Centres Ltd were appointed by the Landlord to take on the management of Pioneer House.  This appointment marks a new era for Pioneer House as a business centre as it strives to become Ellesmere Port’s premier business location.
